Abstract

With a simple UV torch (BE)/fashlight (AE) you can discover amazing and impressive fuorescence phenomena in nature. Apart from the red fuorescent chlorophyll in vegetables, fruits, plants and green algae, you come across a colourful mix of yellow, orange, green and blue fuorescence when red and brown algae, crab shells, fungi and lichens are illuminated.
